Too much scummage for one video. I can't believe that there are 25 episodes of Scumdays. Thanks to the few Hardcore Scumdays followers that gave me shit for not posting for so long. I hope you all have enjoyed watching little clips of the last couple years of my life.
This is a compilation of the last few months of my scummy days, I hope you all enjoy. Sorry it took so long. Don't worry you five faithful scumfans out there, there's a new Scumdays in the works, a combination of adult activities/responsibilities, the weather, and sleep deprivation have kept skating to a minimum. Things are about to change, days are getting longer, and Portland finally has a rainy day skate option again. Until the new Scumdays drops, here's some videos to keep you entertained in the meanwhile.

My good friend Howie just recently embarked on a year long work trip to Qatar. I'm not exactly sure where Qatar is, but I know it is in the middle east and is very far away from the Beaverton skatepark, which I know Howie loves dearly. Last Saturday was the first dry day that I had free to skate, so I ventured out to my old stomping grounds TRON, and filmed a little montage with the Locs for Howie, enjoy.

This video is a little Montage that I put together of the final days of Hasbeen Design Company's Couch Street studio. We collaborated with our friend Jessica and threw an epic concert for the ages. There were two stages that were spread out between three floors. We sandwiched the neighbors that have hated us for so long with Rock and Roll, until it drove her in to a psychotic rage. Any who, here's some moments I managed to capture throughout all the madness. Thanks to Riot Siren the Quiet Collector and the lovely ladies of The Mighty Market for bringing their homemade wears to the show, and special thanks to all the bands that played; The Dirty Digits, The Empty, Gorilla Monsoon, Red Fang, and Fist Fight. One more special thanks goes out to Frank the security guard that our property management company hired, thank you for keeping us in line and out of jail. So this concludes the Couch Street chapter of Hasbeen Design, late nights at The B-side, Rontoms, and Sizzle Pie will be less frequent, but you know we'll still be lurking around the belly of Beastside.

Hey friends, We know it's short notice, but our building is getting torn down and we're out on the streets in two months. To kick in the holidays were having a Holiday Celebration to honor the last Hasbeen Christmas on Couch Street.
There will be a collection of artwork on skateboards (Deck The Walls II) from a small handful of local artists, some door prizes, refreshments, and more. Please join us in what will probably be a string of epic parties that may or may not demolish the building before any bulldozers arrive. We hope to see you and yours on Saturday evening (December 18th). Come tie a few off with us, the madness starts at 6pm.

P.S. To the 5 people that actually watch Scumdays, I am still skating, sitting on a some of footage, just been too busy with life, moving, work, family and things. I'll try to get an episode out before Christmas.

some random coverage

I was at a random snowboard video premier this weekend at Windell's Skate and Snowboard camp. For those of you that don't know Windell's is the funnest place on earth. Skate obstacles and parks all over the Mt. Hood foothills, an indoor park, littered with trampolines, a foam pit, and an extra long mini ramp with something for skaters of all levels. I love snowboarding, but I have a strong dislike for the industry, this same attitude can be said about snowboard videos. There is just always way too much slow motion and way too much dance music. These generalizations were all true about the Pirate video. To top off the excess of slow motion, each video part had a pirate themed introduction skit along with props. Long story short, I fell asleep on a hubba ledge during the video, as soon as the product toss was said and done and the house lights were back on, I went straight for the mini-ramp. Check out some photos of me scumming around the premier at:

Scum City

Back in May, I spent a lot of time making this Portlandesque cityscape installation out of cardboard and electrical tape. A little over 5 months later, it was time for it to come down. Check out this animation that myself and my good friend (HB staff photographer) Robb Perry created in a couple days. Enjoy.
